Netball Queensland has an ambitious vision of becoming a world-class sports organisation, respected for transforming lives through netball. To achieve this Netball Queensland must push the limits, requiring extraordinary people to take the sport into uncharted territory. The proud home of the history-making Queensland Firebirds team, Netball Queensland is determined to continue to be the number 1 sport for women and girls in Queensland and couldn’t be more excited about their new state-of-the-art Queensland State Netball Centre.
Reporting to the General Manager - Delivery Network, the Delivery Network Lead will play a critical role in ensuring sustainability of the game of netball and building long term capacity across the Netball system in Queensland. As a leader in the Netball Delivery Network (see the Biome Operating Model© in the position overview attached), you will thrive on working with a range of stakeholders to transform lives through sport.
Delivery Network Leads will be responsible for two (2) Delivery Network Groups (regions) within the Biome Operating Model©.
This is a leadership opportunity for candidates who demonstrate high levels of initiative, problem-solving and strategic thinking. This is the perfect role for a “social entrepreneur”, someone who relishes an opportunity to bring together the business and human dimensions of sport through designing and implementing data-driven strategies anchored in purpose - specifically fostering vibrant, prosperous and resilient Queensland communities. Excellent stakeholder management skills, communication skills and the ability to leverage data and insights will support your work to grow the capability and capacity of Clubs, Associations and delivery network partners.
The Delivery Network Lead will support Member organisations and delivery partners through a change management program, transitioning from the traditional hierarchical model into the Biome Operating Model© - a new inter-connected way of working in the sport of Netball which will be implemented from late 2019. The new model is designed to unlock Netball Queensland’s full potential and free up volunteers to do more netball.
You will be results oriented, with an ability to translate strategy into action whilst developing strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will have led teams previously in the pursuit of key performance indicators and have a demonstrated ability and mindset for leading transformational change, preferably within member-based organisations and/or the NFP sector.
A background in netball is not required; however, you must have a love of the game and be committed to facilitating change for the growth and success of netball throughout Queensland.
